Macos Monterey 12.6.7 System Preferences wont allow me to access Printers and Scanners

My Mac will no longer allow me to print to my HP Envy 7800. I tried to access my system preferences, then printers and scanners but always receive the following message: "Preferences Error Could not load Printers & Scanners preference pane." Not sure what to do from here and I NEED my printer for work. I am able to print with my iPhone via AirPrint without issue, so it's not a printer or network issue.

I'm not as computer savvy as I'm sure most of you are, so please reply with overly simple directions; I will not be offended.
