Read the tip very carefully; getting to the Forgot password is not obvious:

  1. Go to Settings > Screen Time.
  2. Tap Change Screen Time Passcode, then tap Change Screen Time Passcode again.
  3. Tap Forgot Passcode?

  4. Enter the Apple ID and password* that you used to set up the Screen Time passcode.
  5. Enter a new Screen Time passcode, then enter it again to confirm.

If you have forgotten your son's Screen Time passcode on his iPhone, there are a few methods you can try to retrieve or reset it. Here are some options:

1. Reset the passcode using Apple ID:

a. On your son's iPhone, go to Settings.

b. Tap on your son's Apple ID profile at the top of the Settings menu.

c. Select "Family Sharing" and then tap on your name as the organizer.

d. Scroll down and tap on your son's name.

e. Tap "Screen Time" and then choose "Change Screen Time Passcode."

f. Select "Forgot Passcode?"

g. Enter your Apple ID and password when prompted.

h. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the Screen Time passcode.

2. Reset the passcode using a backup:

a. Connect your son's iPhone to a computer that has previously been used to back up the device.

b. Open iTunes (for macOS Mojave or earlier) or Finder (for macOS Catalina or later).

c. Select your son's iPhone when it appears in iTunes or Finder.

d. Choose the "Restore Backup" option.

e. Select the most recent backup that does not have the Screen Time passcode set.

f. Wait for the restore process to complete.

g. After the restore, the Screen Time passcode will be removed.

3. Contact Apple Support:

If the above methods do not work, you can contact Apple Support directly for further assistance. They may ask you to provide some information to verify your identity and ownership of the device. They can guide you through additional steps to resolve the issue.

It's important to note that the above methods may vary slightly depending on the version of iOS your son's iPhone is running. Additionally, resetting the Screen Time passcode will remove all previous usage data and restrictions, so you will need to set them up again after the passcode is reset.
