duplicate photos and videos

We have started using iCloud, and we sync our photos and vids to it now. We also have several iPhoto libraries that have been saved from various macs that we have owned over the years. I am sure that there may be some photos that are only in 1 of the libraries. However, most of the rest will be duplicates. Is there a way to have these photos and videos imported, and pare out all duplicates? Are there any 3rd party software that will check, and only import the non duplicates?

iCloud Photos supports the option to merge photos and videos!

"Merging combines the highest quality version and all of the relevant data across the duplicates, and keeps that one in your library. The remaining duplicates are moved to the Recently Deleted album."

There is no need to give an unknown third-party app access to all of your photos!
