Delete one text but keep chronological order

In my old version of iOs I would be able to delete a single text and then the conversations/threads would rearrange itself to show the correct chronological order.

Now I delete a text and the conversations are out of order.

For example-

I delete a recent text from Bob. Before the deleted text, the last text Bob sent to me was from 2 months ago.

Instead of that conversation moving to two months ago, it stays smack in the middle of my more recent conversations.

Hey there akliakli,

You mentioned that your text messages are out of order when deleting a text message, but from the last details you sent, you describe expected behavior. Nothing at all should change besides the text message you deleted disappearing from the conversation. If you'd like to leave feedback about how the Messages app functions when deleting messages, you can do so at this link:

Cheers!
