How do I change my 12 year old's son to show his name instead of mine in the family setting on his phone. It shows his name properly on my iphone (I'm the administrator). In other words, it lists my name, age 12 on his phone instead of his name, age 12.
The name in Family settings comes from the contact set as "My Card" or "My Info" in the Contacts App.
Go to Settings ➜ Contacts ➜ My Info, and make sure the correct contact entry is selected there.

This does not work for me. The my card section shows the correct name for my son. So does my son phone annd tablet’s Apple ID. But when I go see who’s on the family sharing, it shows my daughters device properly and my sons iPad and iPhone as mom’s iPad and iPhone instead of his name. His devices show up as my devices on all of our devices under family sharing. It gets confusing bc I have an iPhone too and they both show up as moms iPhone
