I can only see 1 week f messages in iMac Ventura. How do I see older messages?

You might want to check how long Messages is set to keep Messages.

and also has tips on how to recover deleted messages.

You might also check if your Mac is short on Memory / Storage space in which to operate

(eg: wise to keep at least 50 Gb free).

To add more information to already suppled suggestion above

Does the user also have a iPhone ?

Is the iPhone and Ventura computer using the Same Apple ID ?

Is the user using Message in iCloud on both devices ?

Has the User deleted messages / conversation from the iPhone ?

If so, what was done on the iPhone with Messages in iClod would be Synced back to the Ventura computer
