This did not help because my air pods do not stop flashing white and don’t do anything else when they are open what can I do ?

When AirPods are flashing white it just means they are ready to be paired with your Mac or device.

If you haven't already, you might want to try wearing your AirPods, 

and 

on iPhone: Try Settings > Bluetooth > tap "Not Connected"
