iOS keeps adding apps to focus automatically

Starting yesterday I’m having this bizarre and extremely frustrating problem whereby some apps keep reappearing in my “allow” list in Do Not Disturb focus.

I delete them, but then they are readded almost immediately. They are the 5 apps from “Suggested” list.

The apps also get added to whichever other focus that I switch to.

I have rebooted the device multiple times, logged out of my Apple ID and signed in again but nothing seems to help. Any ideas?

iPhone 14 Pro Max , iOS 16.5.1

You may have multiple Devices with the same Apple ID. In such a case any addition in one device will get copied to other devices.

If you set Focus (DND) on Mac it is also set on your iPhone based on your Settings on your Mac. See the pic below.

Not the cause of my issue either. I have a suspicion that if you open / use an app while a Focus is engaged (e.g. Sometimes I forget to turn DND off as soon as I wake, doing so only after checking several apps) iOS is then auto-adding that app to the exclusions list. I have not confirmed this though.

That’s not the issue for me since my iPhone is the only Apple device I currently have.
