Adapter for Apple LED 27 inch Cinema Display to 2019 MacPro desktop

Switched to 2019 Mac Pro desktop which does not have a thunderbolt in.

So I need an adapter to go from the Cinema Display mini display port to usb-c on the MacPro.


Went to the Apple store and the rep was stumped. There was an adapter in the store for $50, but it specified

that is does not support the Cinema Display.


Bought something on the internet which claimed to be able to do that, but it did not.


So i am at a loss as to how to solve this issue.


Surely Apple must have a solution to connect two of its own products???


Any tips would be much appreciated. I really would like to hang on to the LED Cinema Display.

it's not a Thunderbolt Display, and the US$50 adapter ONLY supports ThunderBolt displays and NO others, even with additional adapters.
