iCloud+ Family sharing issue

Hi All,


I have got family sharing set up and it works fine for my wife but although my son is added and actively part of the family I am unable to get his device to use the iCloud+ storage, it is only selecting the default 5GB.

I have removed and re added him to the family and it says that icloud+ storage is not active.

How do i activate this? It is showing in his subscriptions along with Apple TV+, the TV seems to work fine.

Hello Chriselite,


All Apple subscriptions, expect iCloud+, are automatically shred with your family. This would explain why everything else is shared besides iCloud+.


Share iCloud+ with your family - Apple Support, this support page will walk you through the entire process! From sharing iCloud+ with the Family Share to how to Switch from your personal iCloud+ plan to your family plan.


Please let me know if this fixes the issue!

I have already followed these instructions and have the kids and wife set up on the family. My wife is sharing the 2TB storage but although the kids are in the family set up, the storage does not seem to share.


In my icloud settings my son has access to the subscription but on his iphone it only shows AppleTV+ as enabled.


He should be able to become part of the shared storage like my wife is shouldn't he as opposed to having multiple contracts in place?
