Reinstalling OS X Lion issues
Hello, I have been following these instructions to wipe my macbook air:
- Erase the hard drive: In the Disk Utility window, select your MacBook Air's internal hard drive (usually named "Macintosh HD" or something similar) from the list on the left.
- Erase the hard drive: Click on the "Erase" button at the top of the Disk Utility window. A dialog box will appear asking you to provide a name, format, and scheme for the erased disk.
- Choose format and scheme: For the format, select "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" or "APFS" if your MacBook Air has been upgraded to macOS High Sierra or later. For the scheme, select "GUID Partition Map" if it's available.
- Erase the hard drive: After entering the necessary information, click on the "Erase" button. This will erase the contents of your MacBook Air's hard drive.
- Reinstall macOS: Once the erasure is complete, you can exit Disk Utility. From the Recovery Mode window, select "Reinstall macOS" and follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall a fresh copy of macOS on your MacBook Air.
My issue happens at number 5 when I select to reinstall MAC OS X Lion. I can agree to the terms and then it asks me to login to my apple ID to connect to the app store.
