Hi, my local service center is charging me for the diagnostic fee after they supposedly resolved the issue with my Macbook Air M1 trackpad by resetting the trackpad flex, the thing is though, my gadget is still under warranty, does the warranty not cover the diagnostic fee? I am still yet to pay and pickup my gadget because I really thought I wouldn’t have to pay anything considering the warranty. Thanks to anyone who will answer!

If you are not in the US then start with Mac Repair & Service - Apple Support, and navigate to your country.
What local service center? Apple or some non Apple outfit? Doesn't sound like Apple or an Apple certified shop.
