Can’t answer call and it gets stuck in 0:00

Wi-Fi calling is the culprit. Turned it off and this issue went away. So now i have to be in certain areas of my house to answer calls. Wonder if apple will ever fix this problem? And how will I know if they do?

I am having the same issue and it's not good for my business. I turned off WIFI Calling and it seems to be working now. To increase signal boost in my home office, I am going to request a signal booster from my service provider. Hope this works and helps others.

Yes!! I received a signal booster ($25 deposit)from my provider, which gave me full bars throughout my house. I turned off wifi calling and have not had any issues since!

I'm having the same problem. Phone is 14 pro. Been happening for some time now. iOS is current. Happens in multiple locations, on and off wifi, with or without vpn.

OK so this is what I know so far.

I have the same issue.

If a mobile ie data phone calls, everything is fine.

If a LANDLINE ie non-data call comes in then this issue happens.

No sound/ frozen on 00:00. Looks like it is answered but nothing. On the other end, however, the caller only hears the phone continue to ring till it rings out.

That get closer to solving the issue?

When a call comes in I hit accept but the call doesn’t answer and says 0:00, the other person hears a couple rings then it goes to voicemail. However I can call the back immediately and everything works fine. I turn my phone off then back on and the problem disappears. Every time it happens to me it’s after I try to “bring phones together” or hold my phone up to my friends phone to transfer something. I also can’t not see him in airdrop. I don’t know the fix but I think I figured out when it happens to me. Right after we bring our phones together and they haptic and looks like a lightening bolt goes through them.

It happens to me after I tap my phone to another iPhone. (When I hold it to my friends phone to try and find him in airdrop) but I can still make calls. I just can’t answer the incoming calls.. no clue about the fix but when I turn my phone off then back on, the problem goes away.

Any fixes so far? I’m experiencing exactly the same thing. Thanks.

Please tell me there is a fix for this. Been having this issue for months and have not been able to find anything that works.

Phone rings but any attempt to answer it doesn’t work. Sometimes I will get a voicemail. Restarting the phone will clear the problem for a random period of time, but never know if it’s working properly until it won’t answer. Extremely annoying.

I am having the same problem for the past week on my iPhone 13 Pro. My software is up to date, version 17.5.1.

my phone rings, and when I answer 0.00 shows on my frozen screen, they can't hear me and I can't hear them.

I am able to make outgoing calls with no issues.

Same here , incoming call freezing on 0:00 . I noticed this is happening only when receiving the Landline calls . The problem is on Esim line which is on secondary cellular line . Problem started from iOS 16 onwards , now I updated to 17.6 but still the problem persist.

@Grizzlybeard77, did turning off Wi-fi calling on your phone resolve the issue? I'm having the same problem and am curious if that worked for you.
