SuperDrive not recognized by my M1 Mac

i’ve tried all different possible ways to make my SuperDrive recognizable by my M1, but nothing seems to work. It keeps ejecting the CD when attempting to burn a CD

Hey, Rumba123,

Have you checked to see what the Disc Burning app says. Most of the time the SuperDrive will eject discs that are burned to already, have had an error during the burning process or are simply damaged or defective from the factory. It should give you some error or warning message you also might have to hunt for it since it isn’t always clear it should be whet the “Ready to Burn or “SuperDrive is ready” message is. If this is the case try different ideally new disc. If that doesn’t work then it would be best to reach out to Apple Support to see if you can get a replacement if the current SuperDrive is still under warranty otherwise your might have to get a new one. You can do this using the Apple Support app for iPhone/iPad or going to support.apple.com If you are looking for a good brand of disc try Verbatim media/discs I have had very good luck with them.

Best,

Aaron
