Sharing photos on Family Sharing

Hello abrafam,

You will either need to create a Shared Album and invite your wife (this is nice for trips/vacations - "Hawaii 2023")

1. Open Photos
2. Tap the plus icon in the upper left
3. Tap New Shared Album
4. Name the Album
5. Tap Next
6. Enter your wife's name / contact information
7. Tap Create

How to use Shared Albums in Photos on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac - Apple Support

You should both see the created album within the Photos app under Albums, Shared Albums. You should also both be able to add photos, post comments and like the photos. The For You section of the Photos app will show when activity to a Shared Album is changed.

Another way (newly introduced) is Shared Library - How to use iCloud Shared Photo Library - Apple Support.

1. Open Settings
2. Scroll down and tap on Photos
3. Tap on Shared Library (Set Up) under Library

Follow the on screen instructions.

"When you contribute photos and videos to iCloud Shared Photo Library, they move out of your Personal Library and into the Shared Library. Everyone else gets access to the Shared Library content without it counting towards their iCloud storage."
