This support article has a list of things to do if your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen. --> If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch is lost or stolen - Apple Support

If you can still sign into your account on another device you can investigate adding more ways to get a code such as multiple telephone numbers where you can receive a text or a phone call. This is from the section "About trusted phone numbers and trusted devices" in the article: Two-factor authentication for Apple ID - Apple Support

To see, add, or change your trusted phone numbers use one of these methods:

● On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch: Go to Settings > your name > Password & Security. Next to Trusted Phone Number, tap Edit.

● On a Mac computer choose Apple menu  > System Settings (or System Preferences), then click your name (or Apple ID). Click Password & Security, then add or remove a trusted phone number.

● Using a web browser: Go to the Account Security section of https://appleid.apple.com .

If you had set up an Account Recovery Contact ( Set up an account recovery contact - Apple Support ) you can also get a code that way.

If you can’t sign in, access a trusted device, reset your password, or receive verification codes, you can request account recovery to regain access to your account. Hi,

Request Apple to change your old phone number to a new phone number, it will take a few weeks to resolve the issue. I had a similar issue and now it's resolved.

If you can't access any of your devices, you can reset your Apple ID password on a friend or family member's iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch using the Apple Support app. Ask the device owner to download the Apple Support app first. Under Topic, tap Passwords & Security. Tap Reset Apple ID password.

Add or remove a trusted phone number

When you enrolled in two-factor authentication, you had to verify one trusted phone number. You should also consider adding other phone numbers you can access, such as a home phone, or a number used by a family member or close friend.

  1. Go to Settings  > [your name] > Password & Security.
  2. Tap Edit (above the list of trusted phone numbers), then do one of the following:
    • Add a number: Tap Add a Trusted Phone Number.
    • Remove a number: Tap  next to the phone number.

Trusted phone numbers don’t automatically receive verification codes. If you can’t access any trusted devices when setting up a new device for two-factor authentication, tap “Didn’t get a verification code?” on the new device, then choose one of your trusted phone numbers to receive the verification code.

View or remove trusted devices

  1. Go to Settings  > [your name].
  2. A list of the devices associated with your Apple ID appears near the bottom of the screen.
  3. To see if a listed device is trusted, tap it, then look for “This device is trusted and can receive Apple ID verification codes.”
  4. To remove a device, tap it, then tap Remove from Account.
  5. Removing a trusted device ensures that it can no longer display verification codes and that access to iCloud (and other Apple services on the device) is blocked until you sign in again with two-factor authentication.
