How to download an older version of garageband??

I just upgraded my old Mac to Big Sur. But now my GarageBand app says that I have to upgrade it. But I can't use the newest version. So it asks me if I want to download the latest compatible version of garageband. But when I press "Yes", nothing happens except the question pops up again: "Do you want to download an older version of garageband?" - I press "Yes" and this happens 3-4 times. And then nothing happens. What can I do to get Garageband back?! I really use it a lot.

Mac Pro, macOS 10.15

If you haven't done the following already then try this.

Drag your current version of GarageBand to the trash but do not empty the trash just yet.

Open the AppStore and click on your name bottom left of screen.

You should see your "purchased " apps, including GarageBand.

Now try to download GarageBand as you did before.
