I deleted Garageband from my older MACBOOK by mistake. My Version 12.7.6 can't be updated to a newer version, so I can't download download GarageBand now. Can I obtain an older version of Garageband app that is compatible with my MAC?

Thanks for your reply. It does show up in the purchases/downloads section, but Garageband has always been free. Maybe for that reason, there is no link on those 'purchases' that I can click on.

I was able to install Garage Band directly from the App Store app.
As Garage Band was not listed, I went to the App Store → Profile icon → Account Settings.
After logging in, I clicked the Manage button next to Hidden Purchases and clicked Unhide.
A Garage Band 10.4.8 (a 2017 version) appeared in the App Store and could be installed in Monterey 12.7.6.
Since you have downloaded it before, it should be in your purchases. Click your "face" in the apps store, to see them.
Even if you don't pay for it is considered a purchase in the app store.
If you can't click on it, you must already have it. If the app is in your applications. drag it to the trash and try again.
