Macbook is closed and connected to an external monitor over USB-C. When macbook goes to sleep it should stop sending signal to the external monitor and it should sleep also. But after one of the last updates macbook continues sending signal to the monitor and it remains active (grey but active). The monitor doesn't say "no signal" and doesn't go into stand by mode. I could not resolve the problem by changing in settings. Is there any solution?
I can not guess at "last updates"...
you do not say what is your current macOS (?)
Note: The current stable release of Ventura including bug fixes, security updates is macOS Ventura 13.4.1
