Can anyone tell me how to reconnect from MacBook Pro to Brother laser printer? No printing since Ventura update
Hi,
The exact Brother printer model would help. Please post back.
If it is an AirPrint printer connected to a network, you may want to try a power cycle sequence (do not forget the router):
Power off the Wi-Fi router, the printer, the Mac, and all iPhones/iPads/other computers or devices. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the router. Wait two to three minutes. Power on the printer. Wait a minute or two. Power on the Mac. Finally, power on any iPhones/iPads/other computers or devices.

Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)
DCP-L2530DW?

Probably where this is headed: Reset the printing system on your Mac to solve a problem - Apple Support
Load the latest firmware, too:

Thank you for the information
The Brother DCP-L2530DW is listed as a model supporting Apple's AirPrint technology, so no additional software/driver should be needed, provided that the printer is connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router) as the Mac and the iPhone.
Since you can print from the iPhone, try the full power cycle sequence outlined in my previous message.
Making sure that the latest printer firmware is installed, as suggested by MrHoffman, is a good idea as well.
Printing on my Brother HL-L2350DW not working in Ventura either, at least when using Apple print system.
I have deleted and re-added the printer.
The printer is AirPrint compatible.
The printer is visible on the network.
It frequently prints the first page then stops, saying 'Unable to add document to print job' in the 'Brother HL-L2350DW series' app, and logging that same message in the error log.
Printing *does work* from Brother's iPrint & Scan application. Note that Brother's app does not seem to use CUPS.
So: it's not the network; it's not the printer itself; it's not a corrupted printer settings system; from other reports it is only a problem on macOS, not iOS; it has only started happening in Ventura, and systems outside those released by Apple (e.g. Brother) still work.
My problem is solved. It's a new driver from Brother which needs to be installed, presumably to be compatible with Ventura, and literally took about 5 seconds.
I clicked on a link to Brother drivers which someone had kindly posted, then installed the driver. Problem solved immediately.
I'm afraid I haven't got the link so you'll have to look for it as I did.
I think it was in the Brother help section
Hope it works for you too.
Brother recommends AirPrint, but yes, the driver is an option.
I would confirm that the firmware is current with that printer. There is a firmware update from earlier this year.

The Brother prints fine from my iPhone 13.
The printer model number is DCP-2530DW
Sorry yes I missed the L out. So the model number is actually DCP-L2530DW.
There's no driver from Brother and the firmware is up to date.
I will create a new issue rather than rely on this solved one.
I had the same problem with a Brother mfc-l6800dw and changing the IPv6 setting on the printer from off to on made it all work.
