My iPhone screen gets dark for no reason , very annoying

Check these options:
If you're using Autobrightness, it can darken even if you move the brightness slider at its maximum range, and it could be also a problem of overheating.
Did you find your battery's maximum capacity percentage? what value can you read there?
Not the battery level, but its maximum capacity percentage can affect the behavior of the iPhone.
What does the battery percentage have to do with it?
I followed all you advised , will see if it fixes the problem but I noticed that the brightness button lowered by itself even though I had maxed it a few hours ago
