Hi maOmolemo,

Start by verifying that you're following the steps outlined in this article: Upgrade to iCloud+

How to upgrade on your iPhone or iPad

1. Go to Settings, then tap your name.
2. Tap iCloud, then tap Manage Account Storage or Manage Storage. Or scroll down and tap Upgrade to iCloud+.
3. Tap Buy More Storage or Change Storage Plan.
4. Choose a plan and follow the onscreen instructions.

If those steps aren't working as expected, restart your iPhone and try again. Although this step may seem fairly simple, it can help correct some issues. If the issue persists, make sure you're running the latest iOS version that's compatible with your device, which is 15.7.7 as mentioned here: Apple security updates

Here's how: Update your iPhone or iPad

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

If you're still unable to upgrade your iCloud storage, try testing on another network. This will let you know if the issue is related the the network your iPhone is currently connected to.

Cheers.
