Buggy volume control with digital crown

watchOS 9.5.2, iOS 16.5.1

In “Now Playing”, the Digital Crown no longer controls volume. Both with AirPods Pro and other BT speakers. This started two or three OS updates ago. I’ve tried unpairing/wiping/re-pairing the watch. I’ve tried power cycling the devices. Problem persists.

Any suggestions?

thanks

3 different software versions, several different devices, and your reset and reboot attempts all combine to suggest the only remaining suspect is a hardware fault. In this case probably a defective Digital Crown. Do you see it scrolling lists successfully (like in Settings)?

Probable next step if you can't fix it is Contact Apple Support and arrange to get the hardware checked.
