I am unable to understand what is the issue if your are getting heic images.
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) format is the default image format for iPhone since iOS 11. It uses a more efficient compression method than JPEG, which means that HEIC images can take up less storage space without sacrificing image quality.
The HEIC (High-Efficiency Image Format) is a file format used by Apple devices, including iPhones, to store photos. It was introduced with iOS 11 as a replacement for the traditional JPEG format. HEIC is designed to provide higher image quality while occupying less storage space compared to JPEG.
HEIC utilizes advanced compression algorithms to achieve better image quality at lower file sizes. This format supports various image features, such as multiple frames, transparency, and 16-bit color depth, allowing for richer and more detailed images. Additionally, HEIC supports features like image metadata, depth mapping, and editing capabilities like non-destructive editing.
One advantage of HEIC is its efficient use of storage space. As the file sizes are smaller, you can store more photos on your device without sacrificing image quality. However, it's worth noting that the compatibility of HEIC files may vary on different devices and software. While Apple devices typically support HEIC, some older devices or third-party software might require conversion to a more widely supported format like JPEG for compatibility.
If you want to change the camera capture format on your iPhone, you can go to Settings > Camera > Formats and choose between High Efficiency (HEIC) and Most Compatible (JPEG). The Most Compatible option saves images in the JPEG format, which has broader compatibility across different platforms and devices.
