One Thunderbolt Port

Hello,

Is it true that one thunderbolt port on a Mac would only support one external device?

I have a 11-in-1 Hub / Dongle / Adapter. Is it true that I cannot use more than one port on this adapter at the same time?

Thanks in advance.

A single Thunderbolt port on a Mac can support a daisy chain of up to six Thunderbolt devices. This means you can connect up to six Thunderbolt devices in a series using Thunderbolt cables, with each device connected to the previous one. The last device in the chain must be a Thunderbolt device or a Thunderbolt-compatible display.

It's important to note that the number of devices you can connect may also depend on the bandwidth requirements of the devices themselves. Some high-bandwidth devices, such as 4K displays or external storage systems, may consume more of the available Thunderbolt bandwidth, which can impact the number of devices that can be connected in a chain.
