Updating to 15.7.6:
No. You Can't. 15.7.6 is not longer available. Only the latest available update for your iPhone will install: iOS 15.8. So, even if you tried, it would not work.

Every update produces feedback from users that it "wrecked" their phones. That's the way it always has been and the way that it always will be.
Maybe .00001% of the many millions of users are ever adversely affected by an update problem, but it's a trying time for those that are.

The reason I was hesitant is that on an SE an update destroyed the phone. Even a hard/forced restart did not help.
I realize it has been a while but since it is the end of the year I was wondering if you know of anyone who would want the front screen for an old SE. It is in beautiful shape.
