How do you remove an card that no longer exists

If you mean for your Apple ID to use for buying apps, subscriptions and music, you must add a valid payment method, then remove the old card. The process is described in this link→If you need to change or update your Apple ID payment method - Apple Support

• Open the Wallet app
• Tap the card in question
• Tap the three dots in the upper right
• Choose “Card Details” in the resulting drop-down
• Scroll down and choose “Remove card”
