Macbook Air screen dead spots There are large sections of my macbook screen where its completely unresponsive. The display works perfectly but hovering my cursor over the area and trying to click anything doesn't work. This is consistent through multiple different applications. My best guess is that something is running in the background secretly that is hijacking parts of my screen but thats just a stab in the dark.

Very uneven screen display looks. like a plasma cloud that ain't right MacBook Pro late 2018 15" has been my trusted workhorse but something weird is happening. The screen is looking very blotchy and uneven and with a "white page' up there is a really obnoxious yellow blur around the periphery of the screen. Anyone have any ideas as to what is happening? As you can see there is no evenness to the screen and yes that grey blob that looks like a cloud in the central part of the screen is part of this issue. Is this a new screen replacement? Any thoughts. would be very welcomed thanking you in advance.

Troubleshooting Foggy Mac Screen:

A. Single-Out this User:

What happens when you create a new Administrator user? Do you still get this error? If not, then it it like an issue with the configurations of the current user. If so, then it is an issue of the macOS, in which case, you'd need to reinstall it.

B. Try Reinstalling the macOS:

So, try reinstalling the macOS. Sometimes, when changes (i.e. Updates) are made to the Mac, system files (ie Caches) become manipulated technically, Reinstalling the macOS would replace damaged system files, and put things back to where they should be. Report back it that brings this back. Go Here: How to Reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support. Important: Be certain to create a backup of your Mac prior to all of this. That way, you can have something to restore from the Mac from, should anything go wrong with the reinstall. Once reinstalled, try this once mor
