Laptop with a white keyboard

Yup, I think you nailed it, JNoel54👍 my FIL has macular degeneration, and he can’t/couldn’t see the keys on the Apple Keyboard supplied with his iMac… I got him something like this : https://www.amazon.com/New-Improved-Individuals-Over-sized-Background/dp/B0039O9LCM/ref=sr_1_14?keywords=low+vision+keyboard&qid=1688416642&sr=8-14… same idea, but in yellow and black rather than black n’white… and these keys he can see, so he can use his iMac, either one should work fine for this

and for an iMac, that would be a nice addition if the user had issues with viewing the factory magic keyboard. but the OP here wants a MacBook, so an external keyboard may be inconvenient for them.
