Stuck on Reset Password screen

I entered the wrong password in my MacBook and noticed it was frozen so I shut it off and turned it back on when it booted back up it was on the reset password screen in recovery assistant . A while back my trackpad stopped working so I changed the settings of my Mac to work without it (tap to click, multi finger to drag, etc) so maybe that’s where the problem lies but I cannot get anything on this screen to work. It’s like it’s frozen I can’t click any of the options or exit it. How do I leave this screen
