Ventura13 won't connect to Canon printer
MacBook Pro with Ventura 13 and my older Canon Pixma MX490 stopped connecting. How to fix? It's always worked before!
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.3

Hi,
Also, the following models from the MX490 series are listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support as printers supporting Apple's AirPrint technology:
An AirPrint printer is compatible with macOS, and can be used without additional drivers, provided that the printer and the Mac are connected to the same network (Wi-Fi router). So, if necessary, you could perhaps try AirPrint. AirPrint would also make it possible to print from an iPhone or iPad.

Add a printer to your printer list so you can use it on Mac – Apple Support (UK)
Is MX490 not just the series, where the individual models are MX491, et cetera?
AirPrint is also mentioned in https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/pixma-mx490 (PRODUCT INFO -> Technical Specifications -> Printer Features). The printer may need a firmware update, though (see under DOWNLOADS -> Software & Drivers).
New drivers were provided last November, so you may need that version.
Nope. My Pixma MX490 isn't on the list for AirPrint. I fear it just aged out and needs to be replaced. Thanks for trying and I'll look for AirPrint compatible when I go shopping. :( Sally
