copying multiple lines and pasting into individual rows automatically

Hi Everyone,

I have a long list in notes that I'm in the process of transferring over to numbers for some organization and analysis.

Id like to be able to copy the list, and past it into numbers so that each line of the list gets pasted into its own row in numbers, instead of the entire thing pasting into one single cell.

Is this possible some how? to use the line break or "return" key as a marker to end what is copied into one row and proceed to the next one down for the next line and so on?

thanks so much for looking at this. this would be a good trick to know.

If the list is separated by carriage returns, click once to select the top cell for pasting (do not click twice which puts it into text entry mode in that cell) then Paste. That should do what you are asking.
