Hi Cocoanak,

If they are over 18 and Ask to Buy is disabled, the only way to stop the purchases when they are still part of the family, is to disable purchase sharing:

"Turn off purchase sharing

  1. See your Purchase Sharing settings in Settings on your iPhone or iPad or in System Settings on your Mac.
  2. Turn off purchase sharing:
    • On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, tap Stop Purchase Sharing.
    • On your Mac, click Turn Off, then click Stop Purchase Sharing."

You can find these steps along with other information that may be helpful, here: How to share purchases with your family – Apple Support

If you have followed the steps correctly and you still have the issue, let us know if you get any specific alerts or error messages when trying, as those may help us determine what might be causing the issue.
