As Subject says, the cursor keeps jumping around while typing in the Notes App. This bug has been persistent among many versions and still no fixes for maybe a year. There's also a reddit thread about this with many users with the same experience. When will this be fixed?!?!?!

Under Keyboard, Text Input, Input Sources, turn off some or all of Correct Spelling Automatically, Capitalise Words Automatically, Show Inline predictive text, Add full stop etc.
Solved the problem in Notes for me.
I have the same exact problem across all my devices when using tables in notes.
This is my problem too. New Air, new os 13.4. I have this problem in Mail, Scrivener, Word. It's driving me nuts!
This happens on iOS as well as both of my MacBook pros.
For me, it also happens in Apple Mail.

this method works perfectly for me. After you do all that, remember to Quit and get back to your Notes application for the changes to kick in.
It happens for me in Word, Mail, Notes — most everything!
I’m grateful that Pages doesn’t do this cursor nonsense. But I use Notes far more often.
