I just started getting this message, but haven't changed any passwords recently. Also beginning yesterday, every time I open my MacBook, it will not connect to the internet. I click the same internet I've been using from the list of available networks and it says the password in my keychain is not correct. When I click cancel, it then connects to the internet without me having to enter any information. Any idea what's going on? I'm hesitant to enter login password, etc in case I've been hacked.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.6

See the article https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212190

Follow the steps Use the Reset Password assistant

And finally If you still can't reset your password, erase your Mac.

Another method is open keychain access using Mac spotlight , right click over login keychain ( the lock should be opened by default ) and delete keychain " login " restart the Mac , enter new admin password in the field .

Note : your login keychain is corrupted , you must remember the old admin password , consult senior care advisors in apple support with this Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
