Trackpad won’t click
Tapping my trackpad no longer does anything. I can move cursor around, but clicking doesn’t activate anything. Computer is frozen onto the last screen used. How do I unfreeze the screen?
iMac, macOS 10.12

If necessary—
You can always force quit a shutdown by holding the power button/TouchID for ~6-10 sec.
Force Shut down your Mac.
Log out, sleep, wake, restart or shut down your Mac
Shut down or restart your Mac - Apple Support
reboot as normal and compare your results
