Prevent iPhone from being shut down so that "Find My" can track it easily

This question goes to the development team, I am a new iPhone user and was exploring what a shortcut could do to my iPhone a moment ago. My friends in the office usually hide phones and play with them. Though we have "Play Sound", "Lost Mode", "Last known location", and "Erase iPhone" options in "Find My"; they went ahead and shut down the iPhone. We couldn't find it as it was placed inside a locker in a room where there are hundreds of lockers.

So the next time, I came up with an idea to create a shortcut to prevent my iPhone from being shut down. Earlier I found a shortcut on YouTube that works like an app lock and I am in love with that. My guess here is, if in case my iPhone is unlocked already; that someone who tries to shut down my iPhone should be redirected to the lock screen and only when my iPhone is unlocked I would be able to shut it down. This made sense to me and probably I could avoid my iPhone from being shut down and I can track it down easily with less effort.

IF THE ABOVE MAKES SENSE TO YOU DEVELOPERS / ENGINEERS, PLEASE WORK ON IT AND COME UP WITH A SHORTCUT OR IF I AM THE ONLY ONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW THAT THERE EXISTS A FEATURE ALREADY SUCH AS THE ABOVE MENTIONED?

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 16

Unfortunately, you’re addressing fellow users here, not Apple.

The iPhone 12 and newer will continue to be trackable even when shut down via the find my network so long as the battery has power.

Requiring a passcode to shut down the device has been suggested many times and is a bad idea for a number of reasons, not the least of which is it would make forcibly rebooting the phone in case of a problem. virtually impossible.

You’re welcome.

That said, I too am in the “disagree camp” as well.

Not only for the reasons already posted … but pragmatically-speaking … a thief will ALWAYS be able to inhibit tracking.

So, given that assumption AND the other replies … it might seem that the only person “inhibited” by your suggested solution would be the phone’s owner.

Just my 2-cents.

Thanks too for participating here … this community always welcomes “thinkers.”
