Apple Watch 3 won't install update

My Apple Watch 3 app says there is a 111MB update ready to install. I have been trying to get it installed since last night and it won't work. I have followed the directions and nothing. I am on wifi, the watch is charged, everything is close by but it won't work. Everytime I try it says downloading to watch and the gear spins but the status line won't show progress. If the phone screen times out and I open it back up, it just makes me go through the whole process. again.

What is the problem?

You say the watch is charged, but no mention of the charger. Please be aware the condition for successful software update is >50% charged AND on charger power.

If that doesn’t help, check the quality and speed of your WiFi to the iPhone, and reboot everything. Then be patient because the Series 3 is not the fastest animal in town.

Thanks. I had to unpair and re pair. Took a long time to get this done but it appears to have completed successfully...
