Music app will not play DASH streaming URL

The BBC has switched off its SHOUTcast streams and now uses HLS & DASH (except for a few stations like BBC World Service. Refer: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/help/questions/recent-changes-to-bbc-sounds/shoutcast-closure#:~:text=If%20you%20are%20hearing%20a,use%20it%20for%20BBC%20streams.

The Music app (at least on M2 MacBook Air Ventura 13.4.1) will not play the new streams via File | Open Stream URL - e.g.

But VLC media player does, and so does the myTuner Radio app (iOS and macOS).

Thanks so much Andrew - the "itals" (protocol?) did it, but I get different results with Airplay.

I have found that since Mojave when iTunes was split into component apps, Mac audio has been a mess.

Now you only get an equaliser in Music, whereas you previously got it for Podcasts and Movies etc - and you really need an equaliser for those other sources sometimes.

With your solution I find that with Music output set to my MacBook Air, I can then set the Control Centre sound output to any Airplay 1 or 2 speaker (only one at a time though).

Using Rogue Amoeba's Airfoil though, I can play to any combination of Airplay 1 and 2 speakers.

It seems ridiculous that I have to use Airfoil (excellent though it is) to get the lost functionality back, and at the cost of lowering my Mac's security in order to run it.
