ipod classic 5th gen 60gb acting weird

I have been using my ipod 5th gen for a while with no problems. Recently, it's been acting up, with it not properly booting, reading certain files, ect. I had trouble connecting it to iTunes, and when I tried a restore, I was given the error 1437. I went to diagnostics, and saw weird hdd info, which led me to believe the hdd was dying. The screen has also started to produce lines, and the device is slow. It also will ask to be restored if i do not hold buttons while booting. I was able to boot it holding MENU, and PLAY/PAUSE, but some things would cause it to crash. I am really confused as it isnt consistent. Any help?

Hi Minimewatson99,

Since you're having physical issues with this device, it would require repair. Due to the age of this device, Apple wouldn't be able to assist with servicing it. More information on this can be found here: Obtaining service for your Apple product after an expired warranty - Apple Support

With that said, you may be able to get help from an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can locate your nearest service provider and set up service by using the site: Find Locations

Cheers.
