Replacing a hacked Apple ID with a new Apple ID

How do I 'cleanse' my devices in order to insert my new Apple ID? I cannot seem to remove the old Apple ID which was hacked and I no longer have the password to unlock it. Each time I try to remove the existing Apple ID, I get asked for a password (which I no longer have) and the trusted phone number (which hackers changed so I do not have that either) - I have created a new Apple ID but cannot seem to install on my phone and tablet.

Apple can completely reset a device if a person can provide sufficient evidence of valid ownership. Do this online at: Activation Lock support request - https://al-support.apple.com/#/additional-support Apple says, "Proof of ownership documentation is required," but does not detail what currently constitutes proof. Prior to this new online service Apple typically required the original receipt issued by Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller and documented provenance (so typically it would be the original owner who does this, or a descendant with legal proof of ownership). This will give you access to the device but won't restore access to the account used to lock it. There is nothing that can be done to expedite an Activation Lock request.

thanks Limnos but I have been in touch with Apple to confirm my account had been hacked and they have said they shut it down. Given I hackers also changed the MFA trusted phone number, there was no way to recover my Apple ID account and I was told to create a new Apple ID. My challenge is that I have created the new Apple ID but I cannot seem to remove the old Apple ID and install the new Apple ID on my phone or tablet.
