Wondering how the activity zones work.
For example - if I am looking for people , the internal ai model will place a bounding box around a detection. How do we know if that bounding box fits inside an activity zone.
Does the entire box have to be within the region?
Does just the midpoint of the bottom of the box have to be inside the region?
Is it the midpoint of the top of the box?
Without knowing this you can’t reliably set activity zones…
Thanks @turingtest2 but that documentation tells me very little and doesn’t answer the question.
I’ve built these sort of systems before and it takes a heck of a lot of testing to work it out properly. Somewhere Apple would know exactly but very little is shared about the inner workings of HKSV which is a shame.

Create Activity Zones for HomeKit Secure Video cameras
You can create zones that focus your HomeKit Secure Video camera on the most important areas within its view—your front walkway but not the sidewalk behind it, for example. You can then be alerted when motion is detected in these zones.
Note: You can create Activity Zones only for cameras set up to record when a specific motion is detected. Activity Zones don’t affect motion detection automations.
.To remove an activity zone, tap Select Activity Zones, tap inside a zone, then tap Clear.
I've not personally tested, but the implication is that any activity outside the active zones is ignored so that you can reduce the number of unwanted notifications. Try it and see.
