If I put my device on lockdown mode can I take off lockdown mode later?

Yes. Lockdown mode can be enabled or disabled as needed - although for the majority of end-users, Lockdown mode will neither be useful nor helpful. When active, much of an iPad’s functionality is completely disabled.

Enabling or disabling this feature will require restart of the device (prompted).
