Removal of apps pages and disruption of groups

Why have my apps pages been deleted, leaving me with apps groups that have been reordered, reorganised and generally disrupted in such a way that I have to spend hours pulling back each app onto my sequence of pages? I can’t even pull the rag bag set of apps groups as a starter to recover.  No pages to Unhide, because they’ve gone

If you have multiple folders and want to know where an App is placed, in which folder, then look at the pic below.

If there are no folders then arrange them alphabetically, Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout. Note: If you have any folder, it will be removed.

All default apps will be on Page 1 and the rest will be arranged alphabetically.
