Is the balance on Suica card refundable

Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer the balance of a Suica card back to your bank account using your iPhone. The Suica card is a prepaid travel card, and the balance is stored on the card itself. Once you have purchased the card, you cannot get a refund for the unused balance.

However, there are a few things you can do if you have an unused balance on your Suica card:

• You can use the balance to pay for transportation in Japan.
• You can give the card to someone else who will be traveling to Japan.
• You can sell the card to someone else.
• Visit a JR East ticket office or a designated service center: Look for a JR East ticket office or a designated service center with a SUICA card support desk. These are usually located at major train stations in Japan and ask them for help.

If you are planning to travel to Japan again in the future, you can keep the card and use it to pay for transportation then. The balance will not expire, so you can use it as long as the card is still in good condition.
