Has anyone experienced a deduction of 36.99 AED from Apple.com/bill (but actual merchant: Hollyhill Industrial Est)

Hello,

I got a text notification from my bank that Payment of 36.99 AED was was made to Hollyhill Industrial Est. So I was curious since I have never heard of this company before and I checked more details on the bank portal, in the summery it appears as Apple.com/bill, but when you click on it you get the actual details.

Has anyone here experienced this?

It happened to me today (5th Jul 23)

Several countries get their Apple charges processed through Apple Ireland, which has Hollyhill Industrial Est., Cork, Ireland as its address. Please seek additional clues; this alone doesn’t seem enough.

See if you can find the charge mentioned in your purchase history: View your purchase history for the App Store, iTunes Store, and other Apple media services - Apple Support. That will detail what each charge to your Apple ID account is for.

If another user has also linked your payment method, then that would only appear in their purchase history.

If you’re still worried, then see here:

If your payment method details have been compromised, then others may try to bill you for real or imaginary products or services. There have been scammers that try to bill unsuspecting users with billing statements that look somewhat similar to (but different from) Apple billing statements, in their hope to stay unnoticed. Compare previous charges from Apple, if you have any. If this happened, then contact your bank or card issuer about fraud.

We don't know. We are not Apple. As your fellow end users we have no more access to Apple databases than you.

Start here:

If you see 'apple.com/bill' on your billing statement - Apple Support

The most important part of that article is "View your purchase history." If Apple does NOT show a record of the charges in your history, it is very possible that scammers have gained access to your credit card or bank number and are pretending to be Apple. It happened to us.

If that is the case, only your CARD ISSUER or BANK can remedy it.

If Apple’s purchase history shows the purchase, continue with the instructions in that article.

Hollyhill is where Apple's EU corporate presence is located:
