Finder vs. iCloud Photos?

I want to start using icloud photos to backup my camera roll. When I tried to turn it on in settings, there was a warning that photos synced from Finder will be removed. Will all the photos be deleted from my iphone? I've never intentionally used Finder and don't have a Mac.

ICloud Photos for photos added using Finder With the end of My Photo Stream imminent, I am concerned about losing photos which I previously transferred from a pc. Is it true to say that any such photos which I have edited on my iPad will be safe (I.E. not removed) when I turn on iCloud Photos? thanks

Backing up photos to iCloud So quick question, after we backup our photos to our iCloud account, can we delete them off of our phone and other devices? Or will that risk deleting my photos from my iCloud account too? Because I know Google Photos, after they backup to my Google account, I can delete the photos off of my devices because I know it's safely backuped to Google's cloud server, so I was wondering if I could do the same to my iCloud account.
