Why are eligible subscribions automatically shared with family members?
I share one thing with family members and it’s for storage backup to iCloud. But Apple feels it’s ok for you to share anything you subscribe to with the rest of the family. As a parent we should be a little more in charge of what our kids do or have access to on their phones.
Only way around not sharing your Apple TV account with kids is to not have the App Store app on their iPhone’s. Even if you have the settings setup where your child needs to ask for permission to be able to add any app to their phone, with the Apple TV app they don’t need any permission to add and use it. So if you remove the App Store then they won’t have any access to it, but you will have to take over their phone and add the App Store each and every time they want something new, which is like all the time and a huge pain in the butt. There needs to be a better way from Apple.
I’ve talked with support and I had brought the issue and the one work around to their attention as they hadn’t heard of neither before.
