Hey there kalyani87,
Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.
To get started, how are you charging your iPhone? For example, are you using a Lightning cable, or are you charging your iPhone wirelessly? If charging wirelessly, it is possible to notice that your iPhone may feel warmer.
If using a Lightning charging cable to charge your iPhone, are you by chance using your iPhone while it is charging? If so, and if these apps or tasks are graphics-intensive or processor-intensive apps, your iPhone may get warmer than normal as well.

Your device might get warm
You might notice that your device feels warmer when you:
* Set up your device the first time
* Restore from a backup
* Wirelessly charge your device
* Use graphics-intensive or processor-intensive apps, games, or features, including augmented-reality apps
* Stream high-quality video
These conditions are normal, and your device will return to a regular temperature when the process is complete or when you finish your activity. If your device doesn't display a temperature warning, you can keep using your device.
Let us know if that's able to help.
Take care!

Hi kalyani87,
It'e expected behavior for your device to become warm when charging. If you have a protective case on you can test with the case off. As mentioned in the article previously shared, if your iPhone becomes to warm to charge you'll see the alert "Charging On Hold. Charging will resume when iPhone returns to normal temperature."
However, if you have additional concerns you'll want to reach out to Apple Support directly to further assist.

Cheers.
But I was using Lightning charging cable to charge my iPhone, and I was not using my iPhone while it is charging nor I taking backup. I am using this iPhone for quite long time so… and yes it became normal after sometime but I was wondering how come this can happen to an iPhone with all the latest built in capabilities and technology. I was not even warm it was hot
