iPhone was stolen and I erased it from Find My App but now it’s showing a trash can icon. Does that mean it’s erased or not?

Hi. My iPhone was stolen and I locked it remotely on Find My App. Lost mode is on and I’m getting the location as well. But then after sometime I wanted to erase it. I did it from Find My App but now it shows a trash can icon. It also has the option to cancel erase. I wanted to know did the iPhone get erase yet or not and what’s the best possible way to do it remotely. I’m posting a picture for the reference.

Should I keep this iPhone in my iCloud or should I remove it? Help. Thanks!

iPhone XS Max, iOS 16

Helped a lot but can you please confirm that whether that specific component has been taken out from the iPhone? Is it possible that any of the component has been taken out for selling and that specific part is showing me the location like the chip or something?

No. If whoever has your phone disassembled it and sold it for parts, you cannot track a part from the phone. Just follow the good advice provided and don't remove the phone from your account. You erased it, so your data is off the phone.
